04 Mar Best Dressed – Oscars 2016
Throughout Awards Season, the Oscars definitely rises to the top as the most prestigious ceremony of the year. Here are our top picks for best-dressed on Hollywood’s biggest night.
The Aussie actress turned heads at this year’s Academy Awards by mimicking the golden statuette that honours Hollywood’s best moviemakers. Her plunging long sleeved Tom Ford gown with a snakeskin embossed texture was paired with Forevermark diamonds and a black tasselled clutch. Stunning!
The stunning Australian actress also seems to shine on the red carpet, and this year was no exception. This year Cate donned a light blue original Armani Prive gown with floral embellishments and a low V neckline.
Let’s face it, ScarJo never disappoints when it comes to red carpet looks. Her incredible figure was accentuated in this custom emerald green Versace gown. The simplicity of the gown allowed her Swarovski crystal embroidered collar to be the statement of the look, paired with mismatched gold and emerald earrings and slicked back hair.
The last time Saoirse attended the Oscars in 2008, she was only 13. 8 years later, the actress paid homage to her home country of Ireland with this gorgeous emerald green Calvin Klein gown with beaded embellishments and plunging V-neckline. Saoirse paired the look with mismatched Chopard jewellery – no need to throw out your lonely earrings!
The Best Supporting Actress winner channelled Disney princess Belle in a dusty yellow Louis Vitton dress with a dramatic folding skirt. ‘The Danish Girl’ star also paid homage to the princess with her signature half up/half down hairstyle, simple silver heels and diamond earrings.
Okay, so this one might just be the most adorable red carpet looks we have ever seen. Sporting one of the tiniest Armani suits to ever grace the Academy Awards red carpet, 9 year old Jacob Tremblay (Room) donned Millennium Falcon cufflinks and Star Wars socks.
The 40 year old was a vision in red in a killer figure-hugging Dior dress with a long train and plunging neckline. Complete with a sleek up-do and Harry Winston diamond jewellery, the actress looked half her age.
