Tomorrow, social media will be flooded with imagery of stunning models flaunting sexy lingerie on super skinny/toned bodies – thanks to the annual Victoria’s Secret Angel runway show. Prior to the show, the Victoria’s Secret Angels put their bodies through intense training and maintain a nutritional diet to ensure they look their very best.
Boss Ed Razek sets the very strict rules for the girls as he compares the Angels to athletes. Model Behati Prinsloo says; “Some girls do boxing, others do Zumba. It’s really about what works for your body. I love yoga and pilates, which are great for long, lean muscles plus a little running and light weights.”
You may have seen the hashtag #TrainLikeAnAngel on Instagram and video teasers that give on-lookers a snippet of what their workouts consist of. On top of their fitness regime they have strict calorie controlled diets – no dishes over 500 calories. They love to incorporate protein shakes into their diet – Adriana Lima says that she always has a protein shake after she works out – 1 scoop of protein, 1 banana, almond milk or water. We can’t forget the endless amounts of water consumed by the models to keep them hydrated and their skin looking flawless.
Overall, the Angels have to have a steel strength will power, enjoy staying fit and push their body to the limits.
